According to RT, the members of the committee agreed to continue to work to coordinate issues related to extending the operation of the International Space Station, with the relevant government agencies.
It should be noted that the end date of the operation of the International Space Station, according to the agreement of the participating countries, is the end of 2024. But at the same time, the issue of extending the station’s operation period continues to 2028 and even to 2032.
Sergey Savelyev, Deputy Director General of Roscosmos for International Cooperation, had announced earlier that the issue of extending the operation of the station would likely be discussed during the scheduled meeting of Dmitry Rogozin, Director General of “Ros Cosmos” and Bill Nelson, President of NASA. It will be held next October in the United Arab Emirates.
