Abdel Sattar Sabri, the former Egyptian and Benfica player, confirmed that he had received an offer to join the technical staff of the Roma team led by Jose Mourinho.
Sabry said in statements to the “Al-Hekaya” program on MBC Egypt: “Mourinho was my coach in Benfica, and this was a big thing for me, and he is a great coach, and I benefited from him with many things in training.”
He added, “I always communicated with him when he left to coach the Porto and Real Madrid teams, and I was always in contact with him when I finished my football career.”
And he continued: “When he was in Egypt during the analytical studio for the match between Egypt and South Africa, he spoke to him to be with him in his technical staff, and he told me that I would be with him already and I would go with him when he left to train Tottenham, but the results failed and then he left to train Rome. “.
Sabri continued, “I found a call from Moreno and officials in Rome to be one of the candidates to be with him in the technical staff of the Italian team, and I am waiting to be with him, and I am waiting for the official offer to come to me and I will go to Rome immediately.”
And the former Egypt player concluded: “I will speak Portuguese with Mourinho, and I will learn Italian of course, but of course I speak with him in Portuguese and the main language for us is English.”
