The Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool striker, became the fifth fastest player to reach the 100th goal in the history of the English Premier League.
Mohamed Salah scored the advance goal for Liverpool against its host Leeds United, early in the 20th minute of the first half of the match that took place between them in the fourth round of the “Premier League”.
The Egyptian star reached his 100th goal in the “Reds” shirt today, while participating in his 162th match in the English Premier League.
Alan Shearer, the Premier League’s top scorer, reached his 100th goal after playing (124) games, as the fastest player to enter the 100 club, followed by his compatriot Harry Kane (141), followed by Argentine striker Sergio Aguero (147), and retired Frenchman Terry. Henry (160).
Salah ranks second among African players in the list of the most goals scored in the history of the English Premier League, behind retired Ivorian striker Didier Drogba, who led with 104 goals.
