The Algerian national football team arrived today, Monday, in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh, to play its expected match against Burkina Faso, in the second round of the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
Representatives of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation received the delegation of the Algerian national football team, presented by the president of the Algerian Football Federation, Sharafeddine Amara, before heading to the Four Seasons Hotel, where the mission will stay until the match date, Tuesday evening.
And the official account of the Algerian Federation on Twitter published pictures of the arrival of the Algerian delegation to Morocco.
Algerian coach Djamel Belmadi confirmed that his squad will not be affected by the severing of relations between Algeria and Morocco, 2022, saying: “We are going to play football only, and we put political matters aside.”
Belmadi touched on what could raise his concern when his players arrived in Morocco, saying: “It seems that the temperature there will be high, and we hope to adapt to it quickly.”
