The great Egyptian actress, Laila Taher, appeared, leaning on a crutch, as she climbed onto the Al-Nahar stage, where the closing ceremony of the sixth session of the Acting Syndicate Festival was held to receive her honor.
Taher had decided to retire from art in surprising statements, after a long artistic journey that began in the fifties of the last century.
The Egyptian artist explained in a telephone interview with the media, Khairy Ramadan, that since she participated in the series “The Door in the Door” 7 years ago, she has found that the works that are presented to her do not suit her.
The Egyptian artist indicated that she respects her work and respects her audience, considering that the decision will not be reversed, especially since she has been absent for many years, so she finds it difficult to return after all these years.
