The Referees Committee of the Football Association decided to exclude international referee Amin Omar from managing the matches at the start of the league and the rest of the Egypt Cup matches.

Officials of the referees committee said that the referee will be excluded from managing the rest of the cup matches and from the first week or two of the new league matches after the penalty kick he awarded against Smouha in favor of Pyramids, which turned out to be incorrect.

Pyramids beat Smouha 3-1 in the match that brought them together at the new Suez Stadium in the round of 16 matches of the Egypt Cup.

Engineer Mohamed Farag Amer, president of Smouha Club, attacked Amin Omar, the referee of his team’s match against Pyramids, in the match that brought the two teams together yesterday evening, Friday, at the new Suez Stadium, in the round of sixteen of the Egypt Cup.

And Amer wrote on his official page on the social networking site “Facebook”, “The injustice against Smouha continues. The scandal of the season begins early, its hero Amin Omar, the first goal, Fakhr El-Din Youssef, holds the game, Mohamed Shokry, with his hand. The referee wanted a penalty kick that he did not, and no one will see except the talented referee, Amin Omar, and the beginning of a season and no more wonderful.”
