Al-Ahly announces that Metwali has not recovered from the injury


Al-Ahly club announced that Mahmoud Metwally, the first team player, had not recovered from the injury he had recently suffered, as he indicated that he would continue to perform his rehabilitation program.

Al-Ahly announced yesterday that Metwally will undergo a medical examination before training today, to determine his position on participating in group training, and the extent of his recovery from the injury he suffered.

Metwally held a session in the gym, then completed his program by running around the stadium, and implementing some of the paragraphs of his qualifying program, on the sidelines of the team’s training, which was held this evening at Mukhtar Al-Teach Stadium on the island.

Metwally is undergoing a rehabilitation program, after a complaint about hamstring pains, which kept him from participating in group exercises over the past days, and in light of the improvement in his condition and the demise of the pain once and for all, his participation in group exercises will be determined, after the player has gone a long way in the rehabilitation program.

Al-Ahly will face the National Guard team at six in the evening next Saturday at Al-Ahly Wei Al-Salam Stadium, in the 32nd round of the African Champions League, through which the Red Genie will seek to resolve its qualification for the group stage.
