Al-Amri Farouk, Vice Chairman of Al-Ahly’s board of directors, submitted papers nominating him for the same position this morning, Thursday, at the headquarters of the Red Club on the island.
Al-Amri Farouk ran the electoral race for the same position at the end of November 2017, and won it after obtaining 1,923 against 14,269 for his competitor, Mustafa Murad Fahmy, the current Vice President of Al-Ahly Football Company.
The Al-Ahly club administration opened the door to receiving applications for candidates, starting from last Saturday, and it will continue until tomorrow, Friday.
The Al-Ahly elections are scheduled to be held on November 25 and 26, in a new cycle of the Red Castle, from 2021 to 2025.
According to Al-Ahly’s special bylaw, the board of directors consists of 12 individuals, the president, the vice president, the treasurer, and 9 members, including two members for youth under the age of 35 on the date of the nomination window.
