Amir Tawfik, Al-Ahly’s Marketing and Contracting Director, denied that there were any problems with South African coach Pitso Mosimane or Nigerian player Junior Ajayi.
Tawfiq said, hosted by the “Big House” program on “Al-Ahly” channel, in the early hours of Tuesday morning: “There are no problems with Musimani, and the coach continues with Al-Ahly until the end of the current season 2021/2022, and we did not reach an agreement on the renewal.”
He added, “Mousimani is the one who requested the departure of Al-Ahly’s assistant coach, Kevin Johnson, according to his vision, and the club responded to the coach’s desire, and Sami Kommas continues in his position as general coach, and there is no intention to include an Egyptian or foreign coach for the assisting staff.”
He continued, “There is also no problem between us and Junior Ajayi, there is negotiation and what will be reached during the next two months, our relationship is good and there is mutual respect, and it is not true what was reported about the player filing a complaint with FIFA against the club.”
And about a player who was sad not to sign him, Tawfiq revealed: “There is a player in the Egyptian League who was very close to joining Al-Ahly, but the deal was not completed due to certain circumstances. This player called me and was crying because he wanted to move to Al-Ahly, but I told him that things were not in my hands. “.
Amir Tawfiq concluded his statements, revealing the value of the deal with Percy Tau, saying: “The value of the Percy Tau deal is estimated at one million and 800 thousand dollars, which we pay in installments.”
