The General Administration of Narcotics Control in Egypt succeeded in seizing three gang formations in Dakahlia, in possession of narcotics valued at eight million pounds.
The Narcotics Control, in coordination with the General Department of Port Security, also succeeded in thwarting an attempt to smuggle more than five hundred thousand narcotic tablets out of the country through the Safaga sea port.
The quantity and type of narcotic substances seized, and the schedules listed therein, play a role in the issuance of the penalty to dealers and abusers of those substances, with the punishment of dealers who are addicted to cocaine and heroin, and they are two of the substances belonging to the first schedule of narcotic substances.
