The Egyptian handball team will participate in two international friendlies in Qatar and France in preparation for the African Nations Cup to be held in Morocco 2022.
Ayman Salah, a member of the Egyptian Handball Federation’s management committee and the supervisor of the national teams, announced in statements posted on the Federation’s official Facebook page about the Egyptian team’s participation in the Qatar and France tournaments as part of preparations to participate in the African Handball Nations Cup in Morocco 2022.
The Egyptian team will participate in the Qatar International Friendly Tournament from December 26 to 31, with the participation of Qatar and Japan, alongside the Egyptian team.
Then the Egyptian team returns to Cairo and plays two friendly matches against Bahrain on January 3 and 5, 2022.
The team will conclude its preparations for the African Handball Nations in Morocco 2022, by participating in the France International Friendly Tournament, which includes Denmark, Germany and France next to the Pharaohs. The Egyptian team will travel to France on January 7 to participate in the friendly session.
It is worth noting that the Egyptian handball team is the holder of the title of the last edition of the African Nations Handball Championship after defeating Tunisia in the final with a score of 27-23 in the 2020 edition that was held in Tunisia at the time.
