Al-Mandouh said in statements to Sada Al-Balad channel: “The elections will proceed normally, but what happened was a natural product of the last period and was based on clear premises, but there is no defect, and we may announce the elections at the end of October.”
He continued, “What happened may have been a mistake by the club’s election administration by announcing it before purifying the election lists. There were many mistakes before, including memberships that were subject to financial penalties, so we need to purify the memberships well and in the end there was no big problem.”
He added, “I followed the comments about the shirt that the team played in the Tusker match, but we will receive a new kit in two weeks to enter the new season.”
Zamalek beat Kenyas Tusker 1-0 in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League, which was held in Kenya.
The return match will be held on Friday, October 22, and Zamalek needs to draw or win by any result to ensure qualification for the group stage.
