Liverpool is considering solving the problem of the participation of its Brazilian players in next week’s matches, after the end of the international break, with an innovative solution.

The duo Alisson Becker and Fabinho will participate with the Brazil national team against Uruguay at dawn on Friday, 35 hours before the team’s match against Watford in the English Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

“I don’t think we will play against Watford, neither Alisson nor me,” Fabinho told reporters.

After facing Watford, Liverpool will prepare for two important matches, the first against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League in the middle of the week, and the other against Manchester United the following Sunday.

“We will need to go into quarantine when we return to England, but the club is considering whether it is better to go directly to Spain to play against Atletico and stay in quarantine there, without staying in a hotel in England.”

Fabinho and Alisson travel to Spain, which will not only allow them to participate against Atletico but to end the quarantine period before returning to England.

Brazil left red-listed Colombia on October 10, which means the Liverpool duo will not need to be isolated if they return to England after October 21.

Given that the Atletico match will be played on October 19, and the next match against Manchester United on October 24, it is possible that Fabinho and Alisson will travel to and from Spain away from the rest of the squad.

Liverpool received a great moral boost with the readiness of duo Diogo Jota and Trent Alexander-Arnold to face Watford.

Diogo Jota suffered an injury in the training of the Portuguese national team, which led to an early return to the Liverpool camp.

On the other hand, Arnold suffered a thigh injury before facing Porto in the Champions League and subsequently missed the Porto and Manchester City matches.

Jurgen Klopp said in statements to the official Liverpool website: “Arnold and Jota are in good shape, they are expected to join training normally on Thursday.”

“Thiago Alcantara will need more time, he has not joined training yet and it is difficult to be in the match,” he added.

Liverpool is in second place with 15 points, one point behind leaders Chelsea.
