In its statement, the club indicated that Hamdi had signed a new contract for two seasons until the end of 2023, with the option to extend for an additional season.
Hamdi is spending the current season on loan to Montreal from the ranks of El Gouna, before the Canadian team announced his permanent inclusion.
Montreal sporting director Olivier Renard said in statements to the club’s official website: “We are happy with the decision we take with Ahmed. The first season away from home is not an easy thing, but he has adapted well to his reality and his new club.”
“We took the time to analyze the situation carefully and we are happy with what he has shown so far this season and we are confident that he will give us more in the future.”
Hamdi participated this season with Montreal in 20 matches, during which he scored two goals.
