The French newspaper, L’Equipe, revealed that the European Football Association “UEFA” will allow national teams to call up players only one week before the start of the 2022 World Cup.

This means that the European teams will have their players available on November 14, 2022, one week before the start of the World Cup, which is scheduled to start on the 22nd of the same month.

“UEFA” sent a document last July to the 55 member teams, in which it was revealed that the clubs will release their players to the teams only one week before, which means that the local tournaments will be held until the end of the weekend “Saturday and Sunday” before the start of the World Cup.

It is expected that the domestic league matches will start early next season, as the World Cup will be held between November and December.

Germany became the first team to officially qualify for the World Cup after booking the top of its group at the expense of Romania and North Macedonia.
