Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is trying to postpone the entry of his African players to the national teams before the start of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

And, according to the English newspaper, “Mirror”, in a report, according to the regulations of the International Football Association “FIFA”, Liverpool should leave players to join their national teams after the 27th of next December in preparation for the African Nations.

The Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6.

Liverpool will lose the trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita to the teams of Egypt, Senegal and Guinea, respectively.

Klopp is trying to persuade the three teams to postpone the signing of his players until after facing Chelsea in the English Premier League on the second of next January.

The report indicated that this would leave an opportunity for the three players to prepare for the tournament for a week.

And if any of the three players with their national teams qualify for the final, if he joins in December, he will not participate with Liverpool in eight matches.

Klopp had earlier criticized the establishment of the African Nations in the middle of the European football season.
