Aleksandar Dragovic, the Serbian Red Star player, revealed his role in developing the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah He set him on the path to greatness, preparing him to play without fear in the Premier League.
Dragovic has previously played for Leicester City in the Premier League, and he has teamed up with Mohamed Salah in the Swiss Basel, where the Egyptian star began his professional journey.
Salah played for Basel from July 2012 until January 2014 and then moved to Chelsea, after which he was loaned to Fiorentina, and from there he joined Roma, then signed with Liverpool at the beginning of the 2017/2018 season.

“Shortly before the cup match against Chelsea, we traveled to Stockholm for three days without a coach, and everything was agreed with the club,” Dragovic told Goal and SPOX.

And he continued: “A day and a half after we came back, we played the game against Chelsea, which we only lost in extra time, doing something like that is unimaginable in Germany.”
Of Vardy, he continued, “This guy is like a Duracell rabbit! He can’t sit still or be quiet, it was a pleasure to spend a year with him.”
Dragovic moved to talk about his role in the development of Salah, who played with him in Basel, and said that he put him on the path to greatness, and added with a laugh: “I prepared Salah for that after all! We often trained together.”
He continued, “He was always afraid that I would break his foot because of my interference, so I prepared him for the difficult English way of playing, you can immediately see that he can hurt anyone with his speed.”
He concluded: “At that time, however, he had big problems in terms of converting his chances into goals, thanks to his meticulous work, he has improved a lot in that regard. Mo is a fantastic person who plays consistently on the ground.”
