It is noteworthy that Sawsan Badr celebrated her 64th birthday a few days ago, and her real name is Suzan Abu Talib.
“Badr” graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1979, and began working in the cinema with the movie “A Man Named Abbas” in 1978, and played a distinguished role in her second movie (My Love Always) directed by Hussein Kamal in 1980.
She won the Best Actress Award for the play (The Land Does Not Grow Flowers), and for her role in the series (Dawlat Fahmy), and many international awards for her role in the movie (Closed Circles) in 2001, as well as the Cairo International Festival Award in the 34th session.
Actress Sawsan Badr was dubbed “Nefertiti of Egyptian Cinema”, as director Shadi Abdel Salam had chosen her to portray the role of Nefertiti in his movie (Akhenaten), who died before he could complete and film it.
