Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aty, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, said that the Egyptian administration, represented by the ministry, is working on all circumstances and variables related to the impact of the Renaissance Dam on Egypt, noting that the ministry puts all possibilities to deal with the Renaissance Dam, including its collapse or the failure of water to arrive on time. to Egypt.

During his speech at the opening session of the activities of the third day of the Cairo Water Week, Abdel-Aty added that the Ministry of Irrigation is working to establish an infrastructure for the High Dam, and that dealing with the Renaissance Dam must be according to all possibilities.

The conference will witness a constellation of consultants, scientists and decision-makers who will participate in various sessions and over the course of a full day, they will discuss many related topics.​

Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aty, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, revealed the latest developments in the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam crisis. In an interview with the media, Nashaat Al-Daihi, presenter of the “Bil-Waqqa wa Al-Qalam” program, broadcast on TEN channel, on Saturday evening, Abdel-Aty stressed that filling the dam with 72 billion cubic meters of water will not happen and is not possible.

The Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation added that the collapse of the dam will cause a big problem, which we hope will not happen, adding that Egypt has the political will and is ready to negotiate to put a solution to the crisis of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
