A source close to the Tunisian international, Ali Maaloul, a player for Al-Ahly team, said that the player rejected an offer from the Qatari club Al-Duhail, adding that Maaloul would renew his contract after facing the Champions League.
The source, who declined to be named, told Laila Koura today, Tuesday, that the player rejected an offer from Al-Duhail, Qatar, to leave during the summer transfer period, because he gave a word to the Al-Ahly administration that he did not mind extending the contract that expires at the end of the next season.
And he continued: “After facing the Niger champion in the Italian League, which is scheduled for this October 16, there will be a session between the player and Amir Tawfiq, director of the Contracting Committee, in order to extend the contract.”
Al-Ahly club had succeeded in contracting with the Tunisian star in July 2016, before the player crowned many tournaments with Al-Ahly club and dominated history with the Red Castle team, most notably the African Champions League on two occasions and the Egyptian League on four occasions.
