European reports claimed, today, Thursday, that the Liverpool club management wants to complete negotiations to extend the contract of Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, the Reds player, before the winter transfer period scheduled for next January.

Salah moved to Liverpool in July 2017, coming from Roma, and his contract is scheduled to expire at the end of June 2023.

And according to “Football Insider”, Liverpool is preparing to make an offer to Salah that includes his continuation at Anfield until 2026, with a weekly salary of up to 385,000 pounds, to become the highest salary in the Reds dressing room.

The newspaper also indicated that Liverpool would like to complete its negotiations with the Egyptian international before the winter Mercato period next January.

Last summer, the Liverpool administration was keen to renew the contracts of the team’s stars, such as Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker, Fabinho, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson.

And Virgil van Dijk, the Liverpool defender, is the highest paid among the Reds at the present time, as the Dutchman recently renewed his contract with the team and now receives a weekly salary of up to 235,000 pounds.

It is worth noting that Salah has won many tournaments with the Reds: the English Premier League “once”, the European Champions League “once”, the Club World Cup “once” and the European Super “once”, other than individual titles.
