Ahmed Hossam Mido, a former Zamalek player, revealed that Omar Marmoush, a player for Egypt and Stuttgart, refused to join Zamalek last season.

Mido said in statements to “Sada Al-Balad” channel: “For the first time I will announce it, Marmoush refused to join Zamalek last summer, and confirmed that his desire is to continue in Europe.”

He added, “Marmoush refused to talk about returning to Egypt at the present time, even though he was not loaned to the second division in Germany.”

And the former Wadi Degla coach continued, “Marmoush was in the reserve team in Wolfsburg and does not participate mainly, but this shows the mentality that he wants to continue and shine abroad.”

Marmoush had managed to snatch the winning goal for Egypt against Libya in the third round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
