The newspaper pointed out that the former coach of Orland Pirates and the current Zambia national team was sentenced to a 5-year suspended prison sentence for the incident that occurred in December 2020, while the legal team defending Micho received permission to appeal the ruling.

Micho took over the leadership of Zamalek at the beginning of the 2019-2020 season and left less than 4 months after his appointment, after losing the local super title against Al-Ahly 2-3, defeat by Mazembe and Enppi, in the African Champions League and the Egyptian League, and winning the Egypt Cup against Pyramids in the final.
