Press reports revealed that Al-Ahly club was close to obtaining the signature of a prominent Zamalek star during the upcoming winter transfers, to support the red team’s ranks in the new season.
The reports indicated that the goalkeeper of the Zamalek team, Muhammad Abu Jabal, came close to leaving the White Castle, and signing the traditional rival Al-Ahly Club next January to strengthen the goalkeeping position in the Red Castle.
Mohamed Abu Jabal’s contract with Zamalek expires at the end of the current season, and he has the right to sign for any team in the winter transfer period.
Reports confirmed that the player was close to signing his transfer contracts to Al-Ahly, in light of the fact that his contract with Zamalek has not yet been renewed.
Al-Ahly’s technical staff wants to strengthen the goalkeeping position in the team, by contracting with a super goalkeeper alongside Muhammad Al-Shennawi, in light of the decline in Ali Lotfi’s level and the lack of experience of Mustafa Schubert, the young goalkeeper.
