Businessman Deripaska called the searches another attempt to tell the story of Russias alleged role in the 2016 US presidential election.

“While observing everything that is happening in America, I have never ceased to be amazed at the stupidity of a part of the American establishment, which continues to broadcast a story about the alleged role of Russia in the 2016 US presidential election,” Deripaska said on his channel in the “Telegram” application today, Wednesday.

On Trump’s victory in the 2016 elections, the Russian businessman said: “It’s time to admit the fact that Trump won thanks to the idiots from Washington, who made their voters so bored that they were ready to vote for a comic from an operetta, but not for Hillary Clinton who is mired in bribes.”

He pointed out that the United States is once again looking for an enemy instead of solving its internal problems, pointing to the high level of the American debt to historical levels.

Yesterday, Tuesday, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation carried out a search of the homes of relatives of the Russian billionaire Deripaska, and the searches reached homes in Washington and New York, and a spokesman for the US Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed that the operations were permitted by the court. The office did not specify the exact reason for the inspections.

While Deripaskas representative confirmed that the houses belong to the businessman’s family members, and not to him personally, and that the searches are related to the US sanctions imposed on Oleg Deripaska.

It is noteworthy that Oleg Deripaska owns a stake in the aluminum company “Rusal”, which was affected by US sanctions earlier, as Washington accuses the Russian businessman of involvement in the alleged interference in the US elections in 2016.

The United States had lifted sanctions against Rusal and its parent company, En+ Group, but retained personal sanctions against Deripaska.
