Sayed Abdel Hafeez makes a phone call to Mohamed El-Shennawy after he was injured with the Pharaohs

Syed Abdel Hafeez, Al-Ahly’s football director, was keen to contact Mohamed El-Shennawy, captain of the club’s football team, and the goalkeeper of the national team, after suffering a slight injury during the team’s training, which was held yesterday in its closed camp in Borg El Arab.

Al-Shennawy left the team’s training session yesterday after complaining of a bruise and underwent medical examinations to ensure his safety.

The national team is preparing for the two matches against Libya on Friday and Monday in the third and fourth rounds of Group F in the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Al-Ahly continued its training at the touch stadium today, Wednesday, and included a physical aspect and ball training, as part of the team’s preparations for the match of the National Guard, the champion of Niger, and it will not be held on October 16, in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League.

The Al-Ahly team’s mission is scheduled to travel to Niger on October 14, 48 hours before confronting the National Guard.

The technical staff has decided so far to be satisfied with daily training, given the many absences in the team, after more than one player joined the ranks of the national team, which is running the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
