Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, followed up the progress of work in the reproductive health and family planning convoys, which are implemented by the Health Directorate in some villages of Nasser and Beba, within the framework of the activities of the first phase of the Ministry of Solidarity initiative “With awareness of Egypt changing for the better” implemented in the villages of “A decent life” In 4 governorates “Bani Suef, Minya, Assiut and Sohag” in partnership with the “Decent Life” Foundation, with the aim of creating positive societal values, attitudes and behaviors, leading to improving the quality of life for all family members, and promoting sustainable development efforts for the state.

Dr. Mohamed Youssef, Undersecretary of the Ministry, explained that reproductive health convoys are organized under the supervision of the Family Planning Department led by Dr. Madiha Serry, which started its first activities last Saturday at Ashmant Youth Center in the presence of Governor Dr. Muhammad Hani Ghoneim and Dr. Nevin Al-Qabbah, Minister of Solidarity, and the organization of these convoys continues until Next Saturday, it includes 4 convoys in the villages of Bahbeshin, Ashmant, Tansa, Beni Malo, and Saft Rashin, explaining that one convoy will be held over two days in the youth center of each of the four villages.

The Undersecretary added that the convoys provide family planning and reproductive health services, provide all family planning methods and medicines to beneficiaries free of charge, follow-up pregnancy for women of childbearing age, and provide family planning and reproductive health services to women targeted in deprived areas and to meet the unmet needs in those areas, amid a commitment By taking all precautionary measures and providing personal protective equipment for work teams to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, taking into account the social distancing measures for the public who frequent convoys.
