The Egyptian actress, Yasmine Sabry, obtained a court ruling to punish the accused, Ayman Ibrahim Ahmed, with a year in prison with hard labor, a bond of 10,000 pounds, and a fine of 20,000 pounds in the case of insult and defamation.
Alaa Abed, the lawyer for the artist, Yasmine Sabry, said that the civil case was referred to the competent civil court, and the necessary legal and judicial measures were taken to attend before the Public Prosecution Court until the verdict was issued.
He pointed out that a civil lawsuit had been filed against the accused in the amount of 100 million pounds as a temporary civil compensation, and the court decided to reserve the case for judgment, to issue the judgment issued in today’s session.
He considered that the court’s ruling against the accused was a fair retribution for what the accused had committed, praising the majestic role of the Egyptian judiciary in addressing such crimes that affect the reputation and honor of people, as he described it.
