And (divorce cases) decreased from the previous year, when it was 225 thousand cases in 2019, which is a good indicator, and things are going better,” noting that “Cairo, Qena, Luxor and Matrouh governorates are the highest in marriage,” while the lowest in Marriage rates are the governorates of the Red Sea and Damietta, while Luxor, Beni Suef and Matrouh had the lowest divorce rates.

Sharaf El-Din revealed that, “according to the latest health survey, which was conducted in 2014, the average fertility rate for an Egyptian woman from the age of 15 to 49 years reached 3.4 children for each woman of this age, and that this reproductive rate is very large,” warning against That “Egypt’s population will reach 193 million in 2052 if the birth rate continues at the current situation.”

The advisor to the head of the Central Agency explained that “if the fertility rate changes in Egypt, and drops to only two children per Egyptian woman, this means that Egypt’s population in 2052 will reach 143 million, which means that reducing the fertility rate will result in a difference of 50 million people in The census,” he said, “and this is not a small number, this is the population of many countries,” noting that “Egypt received only 2.3 million children last year, and that every hour was witnessing the birth of 256 newborns.”
