Regardless of his profession, as long as he maintains one of the two conditions in the “income criteria”: a minimum salary of 4000 dirhams per month or a salary of 3000 dirhams with housing.
Labor Attache Hanan Shaheen, Head of the Labor Representation Office in Abu Dhabi, said: The Emirates Digital Government has confirmed that the profession of an employee or worker is no longer a condition for bringing members of his family to the UAE, as the UAE government has amended its previous provisions that allow workers in specific professions to apply for a visa. And it indicated, through its official portal, that the “professional condition” has been replaced by income, so that the foreign worker can bring his family members to the UAE and provide them with a residence visa sponsorship regardless of his profession, as long as he maintains one of the two conditions in the “income criteria”, namely A minimum salary of 4000 dirhams per month or 3000 dirhams with housing.
If the father is residing in the country and meets the conditions to sponsor the children, then the mother is not allowed to sponsor her children, and accordingly the sponsored people obtain a residence without work, and stamp it with the stamp “Not authorized to work.”
The new provisions allow the resident, whether he is an employee or the employer (investor), and holds a valid residence permit, to sponsor members of his immediate family, including the wife and male children under 18 years of age, and unmarried daughters, and the resident who wishes to transfer the sponsorship of his family and children from a situation Temporary entry permit to residence visa, completion of status change procedures within a maximum period of two months from the entry of the wife and children into the UAE.
The new provisions give the resident the provision of a residence visa for his wife and children, according to the duration of the residence visa that he enjoys, and it may be for a period of one or two years for employees, according to their contracts with employers, or for a period of three years for employers and investors, or for a period of five years for property owners who Its value is not less than five million dirhams and entrepreneurs, or 10 years for specialized talents and investors who own investments of 10 million dirhams or more.
Excluded from the “similar period” condition are the residents male children over the age of 18 who are pursuing their education in a higher education institution in the UAE, or the resident’s parents.
