The Football Association issued a statement regarding the presence of private guards for Mohamed Salah during the events of facing Egypt and Gabon in the sixth and final round of the group stage in the African qualifiers for the World Cup Qatar 2022.

The Egyptian Federation also confirmed that the arrival of the special guard crew to the field during the last meeting between Egypt and Gabon was an imperative to hold a celebration on the field before the start of the match, which witnessed the presence of many elements from outside the circle of those involved in the match.
The statement concluded: “The Football Association affirms its keenness to impose order in the football stadiums. At the same time, it takes into account the nature of the criticism leveled in this regard and also rejects any increase on the part of those responsible for carrying out this task.”
The Egyptian team defeated Gabon, with two goals to one, after securing the top of the group and qualifying for the decisive stage of the World Cup qualifiers.
