Amazon Web Services, the infrastructure arm of the shopping giant, is facing major technical problems, as a variety of websites and services have experienced problems with the services provided by the company.
This included many of the world’s largest apps and services, from Disney Plus, Tinder and Coinbase, as well as online games such as PUBG and League of Legends, and other Amazon-owned services, including Alexa, Kindle, Amazon Music and its Ring security cameras.
Amazon said it had identified “the root cause of the problem and we’re actively working toward it”, although it gave no indication of how long that might take.
It is noteworthy that Amazon Web Services provides the technology that powers many Internet services, and sells these services to other unrelated companies.
