A member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee revealed the adoption of the FIFA rankings for the month of November in selecting the draw for the final stage of the continent’s qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.

“The Executive Committee of CAF met and decided to adopt the FIFA rankings for the month of November in determining the final stage of the World Cup qualifiers,” Amaju Pinnick, president of the Nigeria Football Federation and a member of the executive committee of CAF, said in statements carried by the “Daily Spot” website.

The adoption of the November classification means that Egypt is in the second classification and meets one of the top five teams.

The draw for the final stage of the World Cup qualifiers will be held on January 26, with the two matches scheduled for next March.

The first-leg match will be played on the ground of the second-ranked players, while the second-leg match will be on the ground of the top-ranked.

The teams of Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and Nigeria are in the first classification.
