A sufficient delegation inspects Al Hilal Stadium for its approval in the Champions League

It was decided that a delegation from the Licensing Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) would arrive tomorrow, Saturday, in order to inspect the Al-Hilal club stadium (the Blue Jewel) to resolve the situation regarding the possibility of adopting it before the group stage of the African Champions League.

Al-Hilal plays in a group that includes Al-Ahly, the defending champion in the last two editions, Al-Merreikh, and the South African Sundowns.

And the Sudanese Al Hilal Club published a statement confirming the arrival of the African Union delegation to Khartoum tomorrow, Saturday, after it apologized last week for its arrival due to health conditions.

Mohamed Sidat, head of the Licensing Committee, will visit Al-Jawhara Al-Zarqa Stadium after developing it according to previous notes on it, in order to approve it for the team to play its matches in the group stage, provided that the visit continues until Sunday.

Al Hilal made major modifications to its stadium, including placing chairs in the stands, adjusting the lighting system, locker rooms and bench seats.

Al-Hilal club, along with its neighbor Al-Merreikh, is basically waiting for the Blue Jewel Stadium to be approved for the holding of African matches, as it is the only opportunity to play the championship matches in Sudan, or to choose a stadium outside the country to hold matches on it.
