Today, Saturday, the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abi Ahmed, issued a statement in Arabic on the occasion of the visit of the Vice-President of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (known as Hemedti), to Ethiopia.
In his statement, Abi Ahmed expressed his happiness at welcoming Daglo in his “second country” Ethiopia, adding, “I would like to once again express my appreciation for the deep historical ties that bind our two brotherly peoples, which cannot be separated, whatever the circumstances, and we will strive to do our best to preserve and strengthen them.” For the good of our two countries and the sons of our people.”

The Sudanese Sovereignty Council confirmed in a statement that the visit of its Vice President, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, to Addis Ababa will last for two days and will include talks with a number of officials with the aim of “discussing the course of bilateral relations and ways to support and develop them, in a manner that serves the interests of the two countries in all fields.”
