In the context, lawyer Dina Abu Zour, from the association, who defended the courier, told Al that the Public Prosecution has no right to recover the money, because it is the authority to prosecute, and issue a search and investigation report against his wife, a legal heresy, because she considers what happened As a result of a crime, which is not true.

Abu Zour denied the information circulating that her client entered the bank with a bomb threatening customers, and explained that he was carrying a pistol and quietly asked customers to leave the bank and that only the manager, his deputy and one of the employees remain in order to complete the process of recovering his money, which is what actually happened.

عبرة لغيره

He is under threat from the aforementioned bank branch, until the issue of the seizure is decided upon by the competent judicial authority.

The Public Prosecution of Appeal ordered the seizure of $50,000 as the result of a crime, especially since he obtained it after taking bank employees as hostages, and after spraying gasoline on individuals and threatening to set fire, as stated in its decision.

A gendarmerie force went to Abdullah Al-Saei’s house in the Bekaa town of Kefraya to seize the amount, in implementation of the Public Prosecution’s orders. However, the foreign wife disappeared with the amount, and a search and investigation report was issued against her.

Since the banking crisis began, a number of Lebanese have resorted to “legitimate” options to collect the largest possible amount of their rights from the banks, which in turn prompted them to use their full powers authorized by law.

What confirms that the depositors’ money is still in the banks is that the courier, according to lawyer Abu Zour, was asked by the bank manager to sign a paper that he received his money in full, which confirms the acknowledgment of his right.
