Atletico return to victories with victory over Vallecano in La Liga

Atletico Madrid regained the tone of the victories that it missed in the last four stages of the Spanish Football League, after its victory over its guest, Rayo Vallecano 2-0, today, Sunday, in the competitions of the 19th stage of the competition.

Atletico Madrid had lost in the last four matches against Real Mallorca, Real Madrid, Seville and Granada, before breaking the losing streak by defeating Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

Atletico Madrid raised its score to 32 points in fourth place, two points behind Rayo Vallecano, who is fifth.

Angel Correa scored the first goal for Atletico in the 28th minute, before adding the second goal in the 53rd minute.

In another match at the same stage, a goalless draw took place over Elche and its guest, Granada.

Granada raised its score to 23 points in twelfth place, while Elche raised its score to 16 points in 17th place.

Earlier today, Sunday, Real Madrid had started its matches in the new year with a 1-0 loss against its host Getafe, in the competitions of the same stage.

Getafe owes this victory to Enis Onal, who scored the game’s only goal in the ninth minute.

Real Madrid’s balance stopped at 46 points at the top of the standings, while Getafe raised its score to 18 points in 16th place.
