Fans support Akram Tawfik at the airport before traveling to Cameroon to attend the Guinea-Bissau match


The Egyptian fans were keen to support the Egyptian national team player, Akram Tawfiq, after suffering a cruciate ligament injury, while at Cairo airport, in preparation for the trip to support the Egyptian team against Guinea Bissau, which is scheduled for 9 pm today, in the second group stage match in the African Nations in Cameroon.

Al-Ahly club officials are awaiting the arrival of Akram Tawfiq, the right back of the red team, today, Saturday, from Cameroon to undergo full medical examinations and accurately determine the extent of the injury, after the X-rays that the player underwent in Cameroon confirmed that he had severed the cruciate ligament in the knee.

Al-Ahly club officials are constantly communicating with Akram Tawfiq, and he is being followed up closely to check on his condition. Arrangements are underway for his travel outside Egypt to perform surgery and receive the necessary treatment, and to finalize the special arrangements for the player’s travel abroad and to perform the surgery as soon as possible.
