Borussia Dortmund opened the 19th round of the German League with a sweeping victory over Freiburg, 5-1.
Scorers for Dortmund: Thomas Meunier (2), Erling Haaland (2) and Mahmoud Dahoud, while Freiburg’s only goal was scored: Erdimen Demirovic.
Belgian Thomas Meunier scored the first goal with a header after a corner from the left by Julian Brandt in the 14th minute.
And in a carbonic way, the Belgian full-back added the second goal for him and his team, from the same player’s industry in the 29th minute, from a corner kicked from the right side.
In the first minute of time, instead of lost for the first half, Erling Haaland scored Dortmund’s third goal after Judd Bellingham’s intersection.
A yellow hat-trick in the first half, and with the passage of 61 minutes, substitute Demirovic reduced the score with a shot from inside the 18.
Haaland made the difference to 3 goals again in the 75th minute, with a rebound from the goalkeeper’s hand.
In the 86th minute, Mahmoud Dahoud ended the match with a fifth goal after a cross from Nicholas Schulz.
Dortmund reduced the difference with Bayern Munich to 3 points temporarily, after the balance of the Westphalian Lions rose to 40 points.
While Freiburg’s balance stopped at 30 points in fourth place.
