Morocco qualified for the quarter-finals of the African Nations, winning 2-1.
Hakimi led his country to reach the quarter-finals of the African Nations Cup for the eighth time in its history, with a wonderful goal from a direct free kick in the 70th minute.
After the end of the match, Hakimi said via BN Sports: “Praise be to God for winning and returning the result. God willing, we will continue the journey and make the Moroccan people happy.”
The goal is the third in the current version of a direct free kick, including two goals from Hakimi.

Hakimi sent 53 correct passes out of 65, with an accuracy of 82%, and sent 7 crosses, 2 of which were correct.
He hit the crossbar, out of 4 shots he had on Malawi’s goal.
The right-back got two errors in his favour, and won 5 double tackles out of 8.
Morocco is waiting for the winner of tomorrow’s match between Egypt and Côte d’Ivoire.
For the eighth time in its history, the Moroccan team managed to reach the quarter-finals of the Nations Cup, and in 5 of the previous 7 times, it reached the Golden Square.
While the Malawi team was satisfied with reaching the playoffs and qualifying for the round of 16, after it was their best achievement before exiting the group stage.
