Mando Reda, agent of Mohamed Abdel Shafi, left back of Zamalek, revealed the scenes of renewing his contract with the White Castle.
Mando Reda said on Ontime Sports 2: “The session to renew Abdel Shafi’s contract with Zamalek was semi-friendly, and he signed without any conditions.”
He explained, “Amir Mortada, when he sat down with Abdel-Shafi to renew, asked him to specify the financial compensation for the renewal, but he refused.
He concluded his statements, “Abdel Shafi told me that he could not put his conditions in front of Zamalek, because the club made his name.”
And Zamalek club announced the renewal of Mohamed Abdel Shafi’s contract until 2024. (see details)
Abdel Shafi moved from the junior sector in Zamalek to Ghazl El Mahalla in 2006.
Before returning to the White Castle in 2009 and leaving in 2014.
Abdel Shafi, 36, played for Saudi Arabias Al-Ahly and Al-Fateh before returning to Zamalek in 2019.
Abdel Shafi represented the Zamalek team in 198 matches, scoring 11 goals, sending 17 assists, and winning seven titles with the team.
