Apple will raise prices for apps and in-app purchases (excluding auto-renewing subscriptions) in some countries in the next few days, however, revenue will be adjusted accordingly and will be calculated based on the price excluding taxes, Apple said in a news post on its website at Internet.

The tech giant cited digital taxes and exchange rates for this move, and the cost of App Store apps will increase in Bahrain, Ukraine and Zimbabwe, with value-added tax in these countries (in that order) increasing by 5 percent, 20 percent and 5 percent, respectively. Above mentioned price hikes in apps on the App Store, there are some countries where the prices will not increase but “returns will be adjusted to reflect the following tax changes”.

In the Bahamas, VAT will be reduced from 12% to 10%, Oman will receive 5% VAT, and Tajikistan will see VAT reduced from 18% to 15%, and Apple also shared the upcoming rules for Austria, Latvia and Romania which are as follows next one.
