Mohamed Salah, captain of the Egyptian national team, joked with his Senegalese colleague Sadio Mane, after the latter said with a laugh that Senegal will beat Egypt with a clean goal in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Qatar.
Salah said, in the press conference for the Cote d’Ivoire match, in response to Mane, laughing: “We know that Senegal qualified for the playoffs with one goal from a penalty kick in the group stage.”
Egypt is preparing to face Côte d’Ivoire at 6:00 pm on Wednesday in the round of 16 of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations currently being held in Cameroon.
It is noteworthy that the draw for the final stage of the African qualifiers for the World Cup this year resulted in a difficult confrontation for Egypt against Senegal next March.
