Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp confirmed that renewing the contract of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the team’s striker, is not the same as buying a “smart phone”.
Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool winger, is currently living in an important stage of his football career, amid news of negotiations to renew his contract with the team, with the arrival of his 30th year and near the end of his current contract.
Klopp said, in statements published by the “Liverpool Echo” network, about the renewal of Salah’s contract: “I do not know what I can say, in addition to what I have already said. What is the problem?”
“I wouldn’t say there’s a problem to be honest, these are talks, I’m not sure if the two are trying to meet, usually in normal life and business doesn’t happen overnight,” he added.
He continued, “Signing a big contract, it’s not like buying a smartphone where you just sign one thing and it’s done.”
Klopp concluded: “There are a lot of things to consider, some from the club side, some from the player’s side and a lot from the agent’s side, that’s it, nothing else.”
