The number of daily infections with the Corona virus in Russia approached the threshold of 30,000 again, with less than 700 deaths from infection detected within 24 hours for the first time in more than six months.
And the Operations Room to combat the coronavirus outbreak in Russia announced today, Sunday, that it had recorded, during the past 24 hours, 29,230 new cases of the epidemic (compared to 27,179 infections the day before), which represents the largest toll since December 13.
The largest number of new infections is in the capital, Moscow (6480 cases), the second largest city of the country, Saint Petersburg (3958 cases, the largest number since the beginning of the pandemic) and the Moscow region (3147 cases).
The death toll from the virus in Russia rose during the last day by 686 new deaths (compared to 723 deaths yesterday), which is the lowest toll since July 5 last year.
And 22,731 patients in the country have recovered since yesterday from the “Covid-19” disease caused by Corona.
In Russia, since the beginning of the pandemic, 10 million and 803,534 confirmed cases of corona have been recorded in Russia, including 321,320 deaths and nine million and 858,615 cases of recovery.
To date, more than 80.1 million people in Russia have received the first dose of the vaccine against Corona, and more than 76.5 million of them have completed their vaccination with the second dose, and the level of social immunity in the country is estimated at 63.7 percent.
