The Egyptian actress, Somaya al-Khashab, spoke during the “Ink Secret” program on the “Cairo and the People” channel, about the video clip in which she appeared dancing with the artist, Mohamed Ramadan.

In response to a question from the program presenter, Al-Khashab said: Did you mean to appear with Muhammad Ramadan in the video clip circulating on social networking sites to see the trend?: “I am a star and famous before. Muhammad Ramadan was not a star, he is a colleague, and he was present at the El Gouna Festival.”

And she added, “I and a million other actors were present, and there is no such thing. What is the origin of the one who intended to appear with him in order to become famous? I was a base with my friends and he was present and stood beside me as an ordinary colleague, and we do not agree on this.”

And she continued, “It is God’s will that when you cry, a trend will appear, and I will, God willing, if you want to see a trend, so I am not waiting for the trend, I mean, and I do not appear with Muhammad Ramadan at all. This is once or twice by chance.”

Al-Khashab considered the trend to be “a livelihood from God”, noting that the artist who leads the trend is because of a saying or something that the audience liked.

She pointed out that she does not like surprises and hates them, as she said: “If a surprise is happy or not good, I hate it and I would love to know anything and consider the surprises as absurd.”

Social media users circulated a video clip showing Sumaya al-Khashab dancing next to Muhammad Ramadan at a party, which sparked controversy, as the audience believed that the video clip was planned, and Sumaya al-Khashab seeks fame and leads the trend of social networking sites.
