The Ivorian national team defeated its Algerian counterpart, Thursday evening, by three goals to one, in the match that took place at Jaboma Stadium in Douala, to guarantee the top of Group E.
The tournament system stipulates that the fourth group runner-up, the Egyptian team, will meet in the final price round, the leader of the fifth group, the Ivorian team.
The national team will meet its Ivorian counterpart at 6 pm next Wednesday at Jaboma Stadium in Douala, and the winner of the quarter-finals will meet the winner of Moroccos match against Malawi on January 30th.
It is noteworthy that the national team scored 6 points in the group stage of the Nations Cup, after losing to Nigeria and beating Guinea-Bissau and Sudan with a clean goal in all confrontations, while the Ivorian team defeated Equatorial Guinea with a clean goal and tied with Sierra Leone with two goals for the same, and defeated Algeria by three goals to one.
