The Egyptian national football team arrives in Douala in preparation for the Cote d’Ivoire match

The delegation of the national team arrived, Friday evening, in Douala, in preparation for meeting Cote d’Ivoire next Wednesday in the round of 16 of the African Nations Cup.

The Egyptian team plays a match in the round of 16 against Cote d’Ivoire, after the Pharaohs won second place in Group D, and the Elephants ranked first in Group E.

The Pharaohs know a not easy journey on the way to the final in order to win the missing title over Khazaen Jabaliya 12 years ago. If they overtake Côte d’Ivoire, they will face the winner from Malawi and Morocco in the quarter-finals.

In the event of qualifying for the semi-finals, the Egyptian team will be in the same way as the teams of Cameroon and Guinea.

The tournament witnessed a big surprise, when the defending champion exited from the group stage without achieving any victory in the competition.
