The president of the Algerian Football Association, Sharafeddine Amara, confirmed that his relationship with the coach of the “Desert Warriors”, Djamel Belmadi, is very excellent, and that all that is being circulated are just rumours.
Amara said in a statement to the Algerian channel “An-Nahar”, yesterday, Saturday, on the sidelines of the draw process for the play-off matches of the African qualifiers for the World Cup finals in Qatar: “The relationship between the president of the Algerian Football Association and the national coach with Madi is good and excellent, there is no reason for there to be a problem between me.” And between Belmadi or a cold relationship.”
He added, “Bilmadi is doing his job, and I am doing my part as it should, and I know what my role is, and each one has his responsibilities. Our relationship is very good, and I do not know where you came from this news (about the tension in their relationship).”
And there were reports of a tense relationship between Amara and Belmadi, against the backdrop of the lackluster performance of the Algerian national team in the African Nations Cup currently held in Cameroon, which was bid farewell to the “Desert Warriors” from the first round after they were bottomed in the fifth group standings.
It should be noted that the draw for the decisive round of the African qualifiers for the World Cup “Qatar 2022”, put Algeria in a difficult confrontation against Cameroon.
