A short while ago, the Egyptian team’s delegation arrived at Cairo Airport from Dakar, after facing Senegal in the final qualifying stage for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The national team had been a guest of its Senegalese counterpart in the second leg of the African qualifying round for the World Cup.
The Pharaohs lost on penalties (3-1) after losing in the original and extra time with a goal without a response, knowing that the first leg had ended in favor of the national team with a clean goal.
And Carlos Queiroz, the coach of the Egypt national team, had indicated, in statements during the press conference he held after the meeting between Egypt and Senegal, that he had decided to “leave the flag to someone else who takes over the task,” as he described.. See more here
It is worth noting that Senegal qualified for the World Cup for the third time in its history.
